I'm writing on Plato's Republic and just realized that the whole book is about knowing oneself. My assignment is on Book V. I'm am to show how the three waves apply to the soul. In doing so I had to return to Book IV to see how the parts of the soul are distinguished.
How does all this apply to knowing the self in the 21st century?
Well, I'm on my way to work so more on this later.
